Hi Gregg,
1. Well google is indexing the page. Type this into google: site://www.inventube.com/resource/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=19&Itemi d=9 You will see your page on the second page of Google. Now why google shows 39 results for this one page I don't have a definite answer. But I can only conclude that they view all your resources page as similar / same pages. If you look at the code of your site (view > page source) you will see you still have the keyword phrase "Inventube Resource Center -" in the title. You have that in every page of this section actually. You want to remove this fro every page in this section accept your the sections home page. <title>Inventube Resource Center - Jim DeBetta - Official DeBetta Enterprises Invention Blog</title> <meta name="title" content="Jim DeBetta - Official DeBetta Enterprises Invention Blog" /> <meta name="description" content="Joomla - the dynamic portal engine and content management system" />If you can not make the modification this is what the MOD will take care of. If not we will just have to modify the CSS so the section title does not appear on each page. Let me know if you can remove it on your own though. 2. Half of the text on the page is an image (google can't read that). I didn't realize the other half is copied directly from Jim's blog. So google may just see duplicate content. It is never good to copy text like that. I would suggest atleast modifying parts of it and getting some unique content in there. This page should rank regardless....but it wouldn't hurt. 3. The last time Google indexed that page was on July 2nd. This is your main reason. On July 2nd this page was not about Jim Jim DeBetta it was about "Invention Sales & Marketing." So you need to wait until Google indexes your new page. How to make it go faster: build links to this page...we should probably just install the SEO mod now so you can start marketing...want me to have that done? Let me know if you can change the meta tags though first. Jeff

Jeff,
One of the biggest issues here is that I can't change the Meta Tags in Joomla. Perhaps this is the fix we're talking about. The Google indexing makes sense now, Was just curious why it didn't even show up in joomla, since we did that work entering the content into the social bookmarks. |

Hi,
As long as you don't join a link directory, get listed on adult sites, or blacklisted site...or something like that linking will not hurt you. Remember Google does NOT see a website....they see web pages. So having all inbound links going to your home page will help (1) the keywords you optimizing your home page for (2) increase the link value of your home page. Increasing the link value of your home page means internal links coming from your home page will also be more important. BUT...if you have all your links going to your home page and non to internal pages that will not help your internal pages. So YES, you want to build links to your home page...like "Inventube" "Inventions" "Inventors" "Invention Community" and those big keywords. But you also want to build links like "Invention Forum" to your invention forum...which by the way you need to log into your Vbulletin and change your meta tags for the home page...I think it is Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> General Settings -> Meta Keywords P.S. don't start building link for DEEP internal page yet....like for: Inventube Resource Center - Young Inventors because we will installing the SEF URL mod eventually which will change that URL. We could just set up 301 Re-directs for each page but that will get too messy. So build links for the home page & your main categories (those will stay the same) just not your deep internal pages yet. Jeff
